After the success of Data Centre World London earlier this year, we are pleased to announce our attendance at Data Centres Ireland 2024 between 20-21 November at the RDS in Dublin.
Data has become an integral part of our lives. Governments now recognise data centres as critical infrastructure locations – a development that makes facilities storing this valuable resource a prominent target for attacks. If the perpetrators are successful, their misuse of sensitive information can debilitate our infrastructure and put people's digital safety at risk.
While personnel and cyber security play a massive role in protecting data from falling into the wrong hands, other factors must also be considered. Strengthening the physical security of supply chain locations, the perimeter, the data hall, and meet-me rooms is just as important. Physical security solutions must deter, detect and delay attacks and provide traceable entry and exit where necessary. Protecting these locations from unauthorised access, insider risks, forced entry attempts, blast and ballistic threats, fire damage, and more is essential.
The safety of the people and staff is also paramount, and panic and emergency escape measures should always be present and ready for use in case of a fire or other emergencies.
At the Surelock McGill Group, we help with perimeter and building security, aperture and venting duct protection, cohesive multi-threat resistance throughout the building, server room and server rack protection, key and asset management, traceability, controlled entry/exit, and life safety egress.
We look forward to showcasing our products at Data Centres Ireland 2024.
You can find us at stand 501 during the event. We will display a wide range of Surelock McGill Group's products, and our team will be on hand to help you create a complete safety and security solution that is most suitable for your data centre's requirements.
What products will we be bringing to Data Centres Ireland 2024?
NEW: Localised Key Control Solution
The Surelock McGill Group's newly launched localised key control solution for data centres is designed to fit neatly into standard server racks. It stores electronic equipment in a secure casing with access control and tracking functionality. The internal LoxTop cabinet works with any enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. It provides an additional layer of security to control key and asset management within hyperscale or co-location environments.
Our most highly tested and certified locking system, the Slimline range has undergone rigorous testing to prove its resilience. It is certified to meet international standards, including LPS 1175* and HM Government approval for forced entry, EN 1522 for ballistic protection, ISO 16933 for blast resistance, UL 305, BS 476 PT 22 and EN1631-1 for fire resistance and EN 1125 and EN 179 for life safety. With its adaptable multi-point locking system and multiple entry and exit options, the Slimline suits standard and oversized doors and provides an all-rounder solution to any environment. Its unique arrangements, such as a fail-safe access control solution, ensure that external security is retained whilst providing an emergency exit upon power failure. The Slimline is ideal for data centres where audit-controlled entry/exit is required, but the locking systems must maintain their life safety and physical security functions.
The MICO Abryll is the highest security-rated single-point lock on the market. Its performance against threats is certified to the highest standards, including LPS 1175 up to E10 (SR6)* for forced entry with additional HM Government approvals, EN 1634-1 for fire resistance and EN 1670:GR5 for corrosion resistance. The optional Request to Exit (REX) function can be used with new and existing access control systems, making it the perfect addition to any high-security data centre where entry needs to be secured and traceable.
Modular Walling
BenweldSecure's modular walling ranges are tested to the highest security criteria to provide superior resistance in a flexible design. They can provide bespoke protection for existing rooms or create standalone facilities in areas that need high-level protection, such as server rooms. The LPS 1175-certified walling range is tested and approved up to G5 against forced entry attempts, while the NPSA approved walling range is certified to provide a Government-approved solution.
The Surelock McGill Group's high-performance single-point mortice locks protect your data centres from compromised entry and physical threats. The Tyne is tested and certified to LPS 1175 C5 (SR3)* and EN 1670:GR4, while the MICO Modula is tested and certified to LPS 1175 B3 (SR2)* and EN 1670:GR5. Manufactured using stainless steel, both locks provide a suitable solution for fire doors as they are tested and certified to EN 1634-1 for fire resistance and EN 1125 and EN 179 for panic and emergency exit. Enhanced features within our mortice locking range include access control for tracking and monitoring of door use, and Request to Exit (REX) using a swipe-in/swipe-out system for reduced risk of unauthorised access.
